This week’s cabin contest is kite flying! Each cabin gets to design a kite and then, they chose a girl from their cabin to fly it!

First, lets make a kite!

You will need:

  • thick colored paper
  • a stretchy clear string
  • scissors
  • markers
  • wooden dowels
  • a toilet paper tube
  • and a glue gun

Start by cutting thin wooden dowels in half. Then, cut out some small squares.

Decorate your kites. My dolls used their cabin’s names.

Glue the ends of the dowels to a corner. Make sure they make an X.

I cut a toilet paper tube in half twice and then I glued one together to make a small tube.

Then, I tied a knot on the edge of the dowel with the clear string.

I cut the string and glued the end to the tube.

Then, I began wrapping it around.

And you’re done!
